Yaya Toure’s return to international football has been delayed after he pulled out of a double header against Sudan with a heel injury.

The Manchester City star was due to return from a one year self imposed absence from international football but that will have to wait.

Toure guided Ivory Coast to Nations Cup glory before asking for a break.

He missed several games in the process and had earmarked Friday’s qualifier against Sudan in Abidjan for his return.
