Prof. Akilakpa to speak at Ghana’s Day of Shame

Professor Akilakpa Sawyerr, Former Vice Chancellor of the University of Ghana and Member of Council of State is to deliver a lecture on 24th February 2015.

The forum forms part of activities being organized by the Socialist Forum of Ghana (SFG) to mark the 49th Anniversary of the overthrow of Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah, Founder and First President of the Republic of Ghana.

The forum is being organized under the broad theme “NKRUMAH NEVER DIES – BATTLING NEO-COLONIALISM, THE LAST STAGE OF IMPERIALISM” and it will be held at the College of Physicians and Surgeons Main Hall in Accra on Tuesday, February 24th 2015 at 03:00 in the afternoon.

Other Speakers will include Dr. Yao Graham of the Third World Network and Nana Yaa Gyemfua of the All African people’s Revolutionary Party.

The CPP government was overthrown on 24th February 1966 by the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) of the United States of America in full collaboration with local reactionaries.

Organisers say they are inviting all progressives, Nkrumaist, socialists and the general public to the event.

“With this event, we want to right the wrongs of Ghana’s history” said an organiser.
