According to the four-star hotel, the move ‘is to enable us fully concentrate on developing a first rate Ghanaian international hotel brand.

The hotel incorporated in 1986, according to the a statement from its Board Chairman Emmanuel Folson, is Ghana’s first international hotel.
It says it intends to refurbish its guest rooms, lobby and other public areas this year to increase guest comfort and choice significantly.
The hotel over the years has seen some fierce competition from other hotels stationed close to it.
It currently faces competition from Movenpick Hotel and the newly constructed Kempinski hotel.
