The National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT), wants government to establish independent national examination council to oversee all examinations in the country, following the latest leakage of three exam papers in the ongoing West African Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).
The Oral English, Integrated Science, Physics and Social Studies papers were reportedly leaked with pictures on social media some students in the Greater Accra and Eastern Regions reportedly having access to the questions on the dawn of the examination day.
Vice President of NAGRAT, Angel Karbonu, in an interview with GBC’s Radio Ghana says WAEC should be scrapped as it is failing the credibility test with the advent of social media.
Mr Karbonu also raised an issue with the statement by WAEC not to cancel the papers already written despite the leakage.
He says it will not be fair to those students who did not have access to the questions.
