Mahama presents State of the Nation address today


President John Dramani Mahama will present his last State of the Nation Address in his first four-year term to Parliament on Thursday, February 25, 2016.

This was announced in Parliament last Friday by the Majority Leader, Alban Bagbin.

But the President will on January 7, 2017, deliver his last sessional address to parliament to end the tenure of the legislature.“…He is expected to deliver a message on the state of the nation on Thursday 25th February, 2016 in accordance of article 67 of the constitution,” the Majority added.

The President is expected to tell Ghanaians how his administration has performed up until this point.

In his third State of the Nation address in 2015, President Mahama touched on a myriad of issues from the economy to power, announcing government’s plans to invest GH¢1 billion in road projects across the country.
