Kenya revokes licenses of 36 petrol stations

Kenya’s Energy Regulatory Commission has taken away licenses from 36 petrol stations for selling contaminated fuel.

Impromptu tests found that diesel or super petrol was contaminated with kerosene, while others sold fuel products meant for export.

The Commission launched a self-test kit last year for retailers to test fuel to make sure it is not contaminated when it is delivered.
