I’ll produce world champions by 2020 – Azumah Nelson


Professor Azumah Nelson has promised to produce world champions in the various weight categories in the next four years.

According to the International Boxing Hall of Fame Inductee, there is no need to become the GBA president but with his rich experience world champions will be produced soon.

The former WBC Featherweight World Champion currently runs an intensive training sessions at his boxing gym situated within his Achimota residence in Accra.

“I don’t need to be the GBA president; it is about seeing boxers becoming World Champions and with my knowledge I will achieve that in 2020”, he told Starr Sports.

Currently boxers like Emmanuel ‘the Game Boy’ Tagoe who holds the WBO Africa, IBF Intercontinental super featherweight titles, undefeated Frederick Lawson who is an Olympian and undefeated World Boxing Organisation (WBO) Africa featherweight champion, Isaac Dogbe are all in his camp.
