Kwabena Kwabena, renowned Ghanaian highlife musician has reiterated endorsement of the flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo e December 7 general elections.
“The battle is still the Lords, and I am continuing to endorse Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to be the next president of the country. I have always supported him and everyone knows.” He said in an interview on Accra based Kasapa FM.
The ‘Adult Music’ hit maker used the platform to announce to his fans about his Fifth studio album dubbed ‘Ashesi, which is yet to hit stores including songs such as ‘Atuamudaa, Si wa Gadem among others.
Nevertheless, he stated that he wanted to give his respective fans an exclusive package this year since the December election has dawned massive tension across the country.
It is with this that he has decided to release his single song ‘Si Wa Gedem’ to help people cool off the heat in the atmosphere.
“It is an election year and this single [Si Wa Gedem] is just to calm people down. No chaos will occur on December 7. We are for peace. I just wanted to give the fans something for the election year to calm them down…, he said.
“I think right from the start we should have avoided talking about ‘avoiding war’ but rather we should only discuss ‘free and fairness’ towards the election. If we are committed on being free and fair then there would not be any problem. Any presidential candidate that wins the election should be accepted…,” the hit maker noted.
The die-hard Liverpool fan, Kwabena Kwabena further extended his love to his fans and urged them to continue listening to his music.
“I appreciate my fans so much. It took me three years to wrap this album up. It wasn’t easy, they still buy songs from my old album and they are really putting me up. ‘Ashesi’ is my fifth album and the number 5 signifies perfection”
