At a live launch on Adom FM’s Drive Time show, ‘Ofiekwanso’ on Tuesday, the experienced Adom Praiz production team announced that the award-winner is set for his debut show on Ghanaian soil this September.
Programmes Director of Adom and Asempa FMs, Nana Apienti, emphasised the strong Christian and music tenets underpinning The Multimedia Group, and urged music lovers to come for a worshipful time with the Lord, especially as the Group celebrates its 20th anniversary.
Senior Sales Manager of the Multimedia Group, Eddie Entee urged lovers of gospel music to troop to the Perez Dome venue in Accra because Ghanaians have a lot to thank God for in view of the challenges the country faces.
This year’s edition, he said, would have a strong praise theme, ‘more than previous ones’, he assured.
Divisional Manager of Airtel, Natasha Adoley Pappoe said the company would be offering a 10% discount on tickets to persons who buy through Airtel Money.
A red carpet, she added, would also be provided for patrons of the event.
Media Manager for headline sponsor, Airtel Ghana Limited, Michael Acheampong recounted six years of its association with Adom Praiz starting with another African American gospel icon Cece Winans. The results, he noted has been good partnership which he believes is set to continue.
Natasha Adoley Pappoe couldn’t wait to dance as she took to studio floors dancing to the tune of Hezekiah Walker hit songs.
Bishop Hezekiah Walker has 16 albums and has churned great songs – my all-time favourite being – yes- ‘Every Praise’ and certainly ‘God favoured me’.
Hezekiah will be here with his award-winning choir – Love Fellowship Choir.
But there is plenty of our songs to choose from – ‘Amazing’ and ‘I need you to survive’.
There are so many things we can immediately talk about when you talk about Hezekiah Walker. But in a series of articles on this space, we are going to take some time – and digest the 25-year-old ministry of the man of God into words.
Hezekiah Walker has a vision from God to pursue a three ‘P’ vision – Preach, Pray, Praise.
So yes, the gospel star is a pastor. Yes, you read right – A Senior Pastor of the Love Fellowship Tabernacle Churches in Brooklyn, New York and Bensalem, Pennsylvania with a congregation of over 2,400.
A tearful passion for soul-winning dominates his ministry. And why? Because while a teenager living in public housing project in Brooklyn, New York, he witnessed the hopelessness of many blacks who were alternating between living on the streets and living in jail.
God has released him from the stark prospects of hopelessness, hate and humiliation.
And come September, the Dove award winner will land on Ghana’s biggest gospel platform.
