GWCL Blamed For Poor Handling Of Water Crisis In Nsawam

Members of Parliament (MPs) have expressed their disappointment about how the Ghana Water Company Limited (GWCL) has handled the management of water at the Nsawam treatment plant.

Nsawam and its environs are currently battling water crisis.

The MPs think had the GWCL put in place pragmatic measures, the situation will not have been so dire. They expressed concern when the committee on water resources works and housing paid a working visit to the area.

An official of the Water Resources Commission, Ronald Abraham, attributed the problem to natural causes.

The Public Relations Officer of the Ghana Water Company, Stanley Martey appealed to the MP’s to use their high offices to halt galamsey operations as the canker is inimical to water production.

The MP for Nsawam Adoagyiri, Frank Annor Dompreh told GBC’s Radio Ghana how the situation has affected the people.
