After the London derby thriller between West Ham and Arsenal, here’s what happened in the 3pm games…

Aston Villa 1-2 Bournemouth

Steve Cook’s classy flick at Brad Guzan’s near post gave Bournemouth a half-time lead and Josh King doubled the lead in the second half.

Jordan Ayew scored a late goal for the home team, who only avoided having their relegation confimred because Norwich lost.

Southampton 3-1 Newcastle

It was so easy for the hosts, who were ahead after just four minutes when Shane Long weaved his way through the defence. Graziano Pelle made it 2-0 before half-time where the Newcastle defending was so poor. Victor Wanyama made it 3-0 ten minutes after the break when the midfielder, just like Pelle, found himself with loads of space. Andros Townsend’s quality finish pulled one back, but it looks like there is nothing for manager Rafa Benitez to work with at the back.

Crystal Palace 1-0 Norwich

Jason Puncheon scored his first of the season for Crystal Palace to give them the lead and it could have ensured their safety from relegation with the Eagles now on 37 points from 32 games played. It was their first Premier League win since 19 December.

Swansea 1-0 Chelsea

Sigurdsson had acres of space to put them ahead when he volleyed in Montero’s cross from 18 yards and the roles reversed when Sigurdsson broke into the six-yard box and crossed for Montero, who somehow headed over. Swansea are now on 40 points and appear to be safe, while Chelsea saw their 15-game unbeaten run come to an end.

Watford 1-1 Everton

Minutes after James McCarthy’s opener in first half stoppage time, Jose Holebas equalised and in the closing stages, Ben Watson’s fierce shot produced a fantastic save from Joel Robles late on and before the game, travelling Everton supporters held banners displaying support for defender Leighton Baines and calling for manager Roberto Martinez to go.
