Some of the companies and institutions which received insurance cover after the incident are the Mohinani Group, Worldwide Health Limited and the Far East Merchantile Company Limited.
The Head of Business Development and Communication and Sales of Enterprise Group, Mrs Phyllis Woode-Nartey, made this known when she and other executive members of the insurance company paid a working visit to the above companies to ascertain how they have been able to recover after the disaster.
The visit gave the management of Enterprise Group an opportunity to familiarise itself with the activities and operations of the various institutions. It also offered the affected companies the opportunity to ask questions bothering them.
Mrs Woode-Nartey was accompanied by Mr Paul Asafoh from the Business Development and Communication Department and Mr Paul Laryea, the Corporate Head.
Concerned about clients
In an interview after the visit, Mrs Woode-Nartey stated that as an insurance company, Enterprise Group was interested in the growth and development of its clients and customers.
According to her, the company was not only interested in paying claims, but in ensuring that “after the claims are paid in the event of any eventualities the clients will bounce back to full business operation.”
Since this is not the first time for such visits, she indicated that the company would be embarking on similar industrial visits later in the year.
Earlier in a short address, the Financial Controller of the Worldwide Health Limited, Mr Raman Venkat, lauded the management of Enterprise Group for giving it the needed assistance during last year’s misfortune.
That, he stressed, had been helpful in the successful operation of the company.
“We have had a lot of discussions and deliberations with the management of Enterprise on the growth of our business and that has been encouraging,” he said.
Insurance cover integral
The Chief Executive Officer of the Mohinani Group, Mr Ashok Mohinani, said insurance was integral in every business, especially when the unexpected happened.
He indicated that many a time, businesses found it difficult to survive whenever they were hit by any disaster, “but when you have an insurance cover, you do not have much worry.”
He, therefore, called on companies and institutions to insure their businesses before the unexpected happened
