Blame Nkrumah for economic hardship, not Mahama – Akua Donkor

Madam Akua Donkor, founder and leader of the Ghana Freedom Party (GFP), says anyone who will indict President John Dramani Mahama for Ghana’s hardship must bow his or her head in shame.

According to her, Ghana’s first President, Osagyefo Dr. Kwame Nkrumah’s ideologies and style of management has really been a burden on the nation over the years.

She noted that, the “Boys Abr3” slogan being chanted against President Mahama in reference to the hardships the citizenry face daily is unfortunate.

“Whoever will say Boys abr3 under president Mahama must be a stranger…Boys abr3 started from President Kwame Nkrumah. He changed our currency from pounds to cedis…then the boys started suffering till date,” she noted.

Speaking at the National Delegates Congress of the ruling NDC, which is ongoing in Kumasi in the Ashanti Region, Akua Donkor holds the view that President Mahama has made Ghana a “heaven”.

“Under President Mahama, there is no suffering in Ghana. He is the only president who, under his tenure, nothing has been difficult in this country. God has really blessed him. Ghanaians should pray for him and vote for him in 2016. He is the God Chosen one for Ghana,” Akua Donkor said.

She, however prayed that the NDC will come out successful in their congress to face their political opponents in 2016.
