According to Koku Anyidoho, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has allowed himself to be used for far too long.
Dr Bawumia had challenged the Mahama-led administration on claims it has undertaken numerous development projects, requesting a breakdown of the project costs.
That has not gone down well with the governing NDC.
“The credibility of Bawumia is in tatters and dying by the day, and very soon nobody would even want to listen to the NPP again because they fail to see the good side of what we (NDC) are doing. In fact, NPP and Dr. Bawumia have lots to learn” Koku Anyidoho said.
Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia has accused the NDC of failing to provide basic amenities and health care for Ghanaians.
The NPP running mate said these during a lecture on the topic: ‘The Role of Financial Discipline and Investment in National Development’ at a National Financial Literacy and Investment Summit organised by the University Students Association of Ghana (USAG) at the University for Development Studies, Wa campus.
Dr. Bawumia criticized government, indicating that Ghanaians cannot relate to claims by the government of huge investments in the water sector.
“The NDC claims to have put in over a billion dollars in the area of water infrastructure. Yet, today, many places across the country are seeing the worst shortages of water in decades. So, what is the essence of the claims being made by the NDC with respect to investments in water when after seven years, the people are rather seeing worse shortages than they were before these so-called investments?” he queried.
This query, according to Koku Anyidoho, shows how the NPP are desperate for power, adding that the NDC government must rather be commended for eliminating schools under trees which his (Dr. Bawumia) government could not do.
“The fact that the NPP are aware that there are developmental projects in the country, there should also be the need to appreciate the ‘good works’ by the Mahama government” he stated
