Ghana captain Asamoah Gyan has exclusively told Joy Sports he is 100 percent fit for the Black Stars 2017 AFCON qualifier with Mozambique on Thursday.
Gyan’s fitness has been a major concern as he has just featured in three games for his club side Shangai SIPG this season.
The 30 year old who arrived in the country last Saturday noted he is fully fit and ready to roar.
“I have started the season slowly due to injuries and I think it is normal in football but sometimes it is quite frustrating,” he told Joy Sports
“I have played about three games without scoring but sometimes it happens to every striker, right now I’m fully fit and it is a good thing for me and I’m sure I will come back strongly.”
“I’m extremely happy to be back on the pitch and as I always say when I’m fit nobody should worry about goal scoring.”
“I’m assuring all Ghanaians not to worry and I’m ready to prove myself again.”
Ghana will take on Mozambique in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier at the Accra Sports Stadium on March 24.
